About Northern Water


Northern Water is a public agency created in 1937 to contract with the federal government to build the Colorado-Big Thompson Project.

The C-BT Project collects water west of the Continental Divide and delivers it to Northeastern Colorado for agricultural, municipal, domestic and industrial uses.

Northern Water and its Municipal Subdistrict are also in the process of permitting and designing two large-scale water storage projects to meet the future water needs of Northeastern Colorado. Learn more about the Windy Gap Firming Project and the Northern Integrated Supply Project.

GIS Analyst
The GIS Analyst is responsible for managing and maintaining Northern Water's Geographic Information Systems by developing, implementing and maintaining GIS datasets, software and web applications. 

Environmental Data Manager
The Environmental Data Manager is responsible for the development and support of the implementation of Northern Water’s data management strategy and data infrastructure.

Records Technician
The Records Technician will assist with the daily operations of a technologically advanced records and information management (RIM) program.

Web Content Specialist/Coordinator
The Web Content Specialist/Coordinator will work closely with a cross-departmental, interdisciplinary web team to develop, update and maintain web content, graphics, and web standards for many aspects of Northern Water’s online presence.

Maintenance Utility Worker - West Slope
Temporary position based on the West Slope will perform various maintenance activities and repairs to the facilities, equipment and grounds.

O&M Fieldman I
The O&M Fieldman I position is responsible for the operation of facilities for the collection and distribution of water and for operations and maintenance work on all facilities as assigned.
