Register Today for Fall Symposium on Nov. 3.

Come hear the latest update on the Chimney Hollow Reservoir Project at Northern Water’s Fall Symposium. This annual event from 8 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021, will explore issues affecting Northeastern Colorado water users. The pandemic continues to force the cancellation of many in-person gatherings, and given the recent increase in cases, Northern Water has decided to gather in a virtual format once again.

The Fall Symposium allows Northern Water to explore issues affecting Northeastern Colorado water users. This year’s symposium will dissect how persistent drought, coupled with water releases from Lake Powell to Lower Colorado River Basin water users, may mean a very different future on the Colorado River. Regional, state and basin-wide experts will discuss proposals to modify historical water use and river management practices in hopes of avoiding potential Colorado River Compact administration.

Following Colorado River discussions, Northern Water will present its recovery efforts following the 2020 East Troublesome Fire in Grand County, additional Water Efficiency Program initiatives, and updates on both the Chimney Hollow Reservoir Project and the Northern Integrated Supply Project.

Please register for the symposium by Nov. 1 on our website. A link to the Zoom meeting will be distributed the day before the Symposium to all registrants. If you are unable to register online, please call our registration line at 970-622-2234 for additional assistance.
