Northern Water Recognized with Colorado Waterwise Gardener Award

Northern Water was honored Oct. 26 with the Colorado WaterWise Gardener Award, presented annually to individuals or organizations who have greatly impacted water conservation in Colorado. This award recognizes Northern Water for its support of Colorado WaterWise since its creation in 2000. That support includes helping with the development and implementation of the Live Like You Love It campaign, partnering on numerous research and training programs, and assisting with other efforts to reduce water use throughout Northern Colorado.   

The plaque states, “In recognition of outstanding accomplishments in the water conservation field, irrigation research and technology, water quality, excellent leadership, expertise and knowledge, a distinguished record of dedication, cooperation, collaboration, and professionalism as a wise steward of Colorado Water.”

Northern Water staff who have supported Colorado Waterwise throughout the years as board members, committee members or presenters at their annual symposium include Frank Kinder, Chad Kuhnel, Lyndsey Lucia, Ally Mazurek, Darren Nowels, Brent Mecham, Esther Vincent, Jen Stephenson, Brian Werner, Eric Wilkinson and Zach Allen.
