Employee Spotlight: Becky Brush

Berthoud native and Colorado State University alum Becky Brush loves working right in her backyard as a Northern Water project engineer on the Chimney Hollow Reservoir Project. Brush assists with project management, including inspecting work for compliance, reviewing project progress and assisting with public relations.

No two days are the same for Brush, as she spends her time both in the office and in the field keeping up with all the on-site activities.

“Chimney Hollow is a really interesting project. I am thankful to get to do a job that many people never have the opportunity to do,” Brush said.

Brush first learned about Northern Water in high school and has enjoyed keeping tabs on the organization, especially with Chimney Hollow coming to fruition.

"I've always been interested in the work that Northern Water does for Northern Colorado. Working on a project that will ultimately supply water for generations to come is very exciting," she said.

When she’s not at work, Brush enjoys spending time with her husband, who is also a Northern Colorado native, and their four children. They enjoy hiking and camping together, and if she had more free time, Brush would add golfing to that list.
