Community Outreach Events Bring NISP to the Public

There might not be a better way to spend a summer day than attending local community festivals. They offer something for all the senses: the sights of local artistry, the tastes and smells of locally produced foods … and the sounds of water policy conversations?

Northern Water staff members have participated in several public events this summer to bring the conversations about the Northern Integrated Supply Project and water policy in general to community members up and down the Front Range. From the Fort Collins Peach Festival to Eaton Day to Windsor Harvest Festival, thousands of attendees have had their questions answered regarding the progress of NISP in their communities.

The outreach work is far from over, however. In the coming weeks and months, Northern Water staff plan to attend more events to talk about the water needs of our region, and how the work of our predecessors continues to pay dividends.
