Northern Water was created as a public agency in 1937 to operate the Colorado-Big Thompson Project, which delivers water to portions of eight Northeastern Colorado counties. As a desired place to live, Northern Water's responsibilities are expanding due to the economic growth of its service area. In addition, the development of two new water supply projects, the Windy Gap Firming Project and the Northern Integrated Supply Project, will help meet the water needs of the region.

Environmental Compliance Specialist
Job duties for this position are widely varied and include responsibilities for planning, permitting, and compliance for environmental aspects of existing water storage and delivery facility projects. This position is part of our growing and dynamic Environmental Services Division and works cross-functionally with other teams and departments throughout the organization to ensure environmental compliance of our operations and maintenance activities, as well as tracking and coordination of long-term environmental commitments associated with new water supply projects. The Environmental Compliance Specialist will also provide strategic advice for the organization on environmental compliance matters.

Senior Water Quality Engineer
This position identifies, assesses and resolves complex water quality issues associated with Northern Water’s projects.

Water Quality Engineer
This position is responsible for assisting with the identification, assessment and resolution of water quality issues associated with Northern Water’s projects.

Associate Water Quality Engineer
This position is responsible for assisting with the identification, assessment and resolution of water quality issues associated with Northern Water’s projects.

Digital Communications Specialist
This position is responsible for developing strategies that support the desired content and brand of Northern Water's digital engagement, including social media and website, while also assisting in the overall development of internal and external communication projects.

Control System Engineer
This position is responsible for maintaining and upgrading existing control systems and designing new control systems.
