Northern Water’s annual Conservation Gardens Fair is a free family-friendly event where you can tour our award-winning gardens. Take part in how-to seminars, irrigation demonstrations, receive expert advice and kids can enjoy the fun activities designed just for them. The gardens feature more than 700 Colorado-friendly plants, grasses and shrubs that will give you the perfect planting ideas for your home or business.

Training & Meetings

As Northern Water expands its Water Efficiency Program offerings, one of our main focus areas is leveraging resources with other entities to provide educational opportunities for landscape professionals, as well as the general public. These classes and training aim to give attendees a deeper understanding of many topics, including the plant-soil-water relationship, plant water requirements, landscape water budgeting and irrigation management, among others. In addition to classes and exams through the Irrigation Association, other special classes are hosted throughout the year.

March 3, 2020 - Weather Network User's Meeting

The agenda will include: soliciting end-user feedback on your needs for web-accessible weather data products; the introduction of a new web portal; consideration of user registration for data downloads; polling how Northern Water's weather data is used. Participant feedback will help shape the future of this program. The meeting is free to attend and will include lunch. Please RSVP now. 

April 15, 22 & 29 - Beginner Yard and Garden Boot Camp (three-class series)

Topics include lawn care, trees and shrubs and waterwise landscaping. Classes are sponsored by CSU Extension in Larimer County and Northern Water. Cost is $15 and pre-registration is required. See the boot camp flier and click here to register.
