Larimer County Natural Resources sets plan into motion at Chimney Hollow Open Space

Positive momentum continues to build at Chimney Hollow Open Space with the adoption of the Larimer County Natural Resources (LCNR) adaptive management plan, which sets the course for the construction of future facilities and 10–12 miles of soft surface trails. LCNR is now actively pursuing grant funding to help bring the plan to life.  As funding opportunities take shape, the project scope and construction timeline will become more defined.

Acquired by Larimer County in 2004 to protect natural resources and provide future nature-based public access, Chimney Hollow Open Space is located five miles southwest of Loveland, is 1,847 total acres, and is directly adjacent to the future Chimney Hollow Reservoir.  Visit the Chimney Hollow Open Space website to see what’s planned at the open space and other updates.
