Mechanic Crew Keeps Equipment in Tip-Top Shape
Chimney Hollow is a site with tons of good heavy rock for dam construction, but that rock is also very hard on the construction equipment. This wear and tear requires a strong group of mechanics to keep things moving. A team of 30 mechanics work around the clock to keep 162 pieces of heavy equipment and 230 pieces of light-duty equipment in operation.
When any piece of equipment is down, delays in the project schedule are possible. The men and women of the Chimney Hollow mechanic crew are critical to project success. From routine maintenance to urgent equipment breakdowns, this hardworking crew gets the job done on heavy equipment, light-duty equipment and tools. All on-site mechanics are experienced in troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment, including diesel/gas engines, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems.
