Spotlight: Dennis Yanchunas

Behind any large public works project is the leadership that ensures all the pieces are in place for success. Since 2013, Dennis Yanchunas of Longmont has served as the president of the Municipal Subdistrict, the political entity that has brought together the participants of the Windy Gap Firming Project and the Chimney Hollow Reservoir Project.  

“I of course am excited and happy for the communities that will benefit from the project; sometimes awestruck with the incredible complexity and scope of it; confident in our contractors and engineers working on it; proud of Northern Water and all of the dedicated staff who have put so much, over so many years, into the effort; and personally gratified that I have had the privilege of being associated with all of the above,” he said.
