National Leader of Farm Service Agency Visits Chimney Hollow

The leader of the Farm Service Agency made a visit to the Chimney Hollow site, learning about the project and the permitting process that occurred to bring it to reality.

Zach Ducheneaux, the administrator of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency, visited the site with state and local officials in late March.

While the water held in Chimney Hollow Reservoir will not have direct agricultural uses, the addition of firm-yield water storage in Northern Colorado will reduce the pressures on Northeastern Colorado ag producers from municipal providers both inside and outside the Northern Water boundaries.
