Comments Now Accepted for Colorado River Connectivity Channel Draft Environmental Assessment Plan

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and project sponsors (Grand County, Trout Unlimited and Northern Water) announced the availability of the Draft Watershed Plan and Environmental Assessment (Plan-EA) for the Colorado River Headwaters Connectivity Project. The project proposes ecosystem improvements along the Colorado River corridor near Windy Gap Dam, within the NRCS Windy Gap Watershed in Grand County. 

NRCS invites comments on the plan until March 10. Individuals can also attend a public meeting either in person or virtually from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 22 at Grand Fire Protection District office, 60500 US 40 in Granby. For virtual instructions to join the meeting, visit https://bit.ly/3studuy
