Conservation Gardens Fair Returns June 28, 2025

Northern Water’s annual Conservation Gardens Fair is a fun and family-friendly Berthoud community tradition that provides education about Front Range focused landscaping and irrigation trends, as well as the latest updates on Northern Water’s projects and programs. After a six-year hiatus caused by a global pandemic and the redevelopment of the Northern Water campus in Berthoud, we are excited to bring this event back from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 28.

“It’s great to bring back the Fair and engage the public with water conservation in a fun way,” said Water Efficiency Specialist Lindsay Nerad. “We’ve done a lot of work on our campus and the gardens specifically, so we’re looking forward to showing off the new landscape demonstrations and giving people inspiration for what they can do in their own yards.”

Free and open to the public, activities for the day include seminars, demonstrations of irrigation technologies, kid-friendly games, informational booths, food trucks, giveaways and more.

Throughout the event, roam the gardens to view examples of plants, trees and grasses to learn how to conserve water in your landscaping and understand ways to increase water efficiency at home without sacrificing curb appeal.

Water Efficiency and Sustainability Manager Frank Kinder said, “The Conservation Gardens Fair is a great event for the public to learn about local water and ways to use it wisely. Join our seminars on beautiful, sustainable landscapes that thrive in Colorado and take home a free plant to help the pollinators.”

We recommend preparing for the summer heat by wearing a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and UPF protective clothing and bringing a refillable water bottle. Due to the amount of foot traffic we expect at this event, we ask that you please leave your furry friends at home (with the exception of service dogs).
