Northern Water offers several opportunities to learn about our projects and facilities through tours.
Conservation Gardens Tours
The Conservation Campus and Gardens and adjacent Interpretive Area are open year-round during daylight hours and offer self-guided tours showcasing water-efficient landscaping for homeowners, businesses and HOAs. The space also features a small-scale, contemplative replica of key Colorado-Big Thompson (C-BT) and Windy Gap project elements. In addition, Northern Water hosts free monthly guided tours that provide historical insights into the C-BT Project along with practical, in-depth information on water-wise landscaping. These tours are ideal for those seeking inspiration or education on sustainable, low-water plantings and can be reserved through the online calendar. For additional tour options, visitors may call 800-369-7246 or email Lindsay Nerad.
Each year, Northern Water offers tours of its facilities and water infrastructure on both sides of the Continental Divide. These tours provide water users, allottees and project participants with valuable insight into the C-BT and Windy Gap projects, as well as key programs and future initiatives.
Tour registration is offered first to water users, allottees and participants. If additional space becomes available, opportunities for the general public will be announced via email.
