Engineering Technician I
Grand Lake, CO

Northern Water is seeking an Engineering Technician I to provide technical engineering support in areas such as water quality and water resources throughout Northern Water’s distribution system. This is an entry level position that will perform routine assignments including laboratory work such as collecting, analyzing, logging numerical and visual observations, preparing and packaging water samples, recording test results and other types of documentation. This individual will be responsible for gathering, maintaining and entering technical data in databases as well as plotting data for charts and graphs. In addition, this person will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, installing and calibrating various measuring devices.

Northern Water is seeking an Environmental Data System Specialist to provide cross-functional support and service for Northern Water’s Environmental Data Management System and its users. This role assists in the upkeep of Northern Water’s data resources, ensuring that the weather, water flow, water quality, and biologic data collected are of the highest quality. This person will assist users, both internal and external, with general data needs, including but not limited to data access, compilation, troubleshooting, and basic analytics.

Northern Water is seeking a Grounds Keeper in Berthoud, CO to maintain grounds, perform various maintenance functions and conduct repairs to all Northern Water grounds and facilities. This individual will be responsible for using water efficiency practices to maintain current landscape and garden aesthetics, rehabilitate old landscaping and participate in planning for the future Berthoud Campus expansions and off-site landscapes. Tasks include mowing, edging, maintaining watering systems, snow removal, fertilizing and other necessary tasks using proper tools and procedures. This person should have knowledge of water-wise landscaping and irrigation techniques. In addition to other duties, this person may be asked to assist with educational tours of the Conservation Campus.

Northern Water is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to perform a variety of human resources related duties including recruitment and selection, compensation, employee insurance and benefit programs and employee relations. A qualified candidate will be people oriented, maintain accurate records and documentation, and assist applicants and existing employees with HR related tasks. This position will aide in administering and answering benefits and retirement related questions, review job descriptions, recruitment, background and reference checks, conduct new hire orientations and more. This position will also assist with setting up new hires in HRIS, complete required reporting to federal and state websites, and assist in reporting of workplace accidents and injuries.

Northern Water is seeking an HVAC & Building Maintenance Specialist to plan, implement and sustain reliable and efficient operation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in Northern Water facilities. The successful candidate will have thorough knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, equipment and tools including design, use, repair and maintenance practices. Familiarity with and the ability to perform multiple trades is necessary as this individual will also plan, oversee and manage work performed by various contractors. In addition, this individual will train other staff in job methods, procedures and proper use of equipment and tools as well as assist snow removal crews as needed.

Northern Water is seeking a Mechanical I for the operation and maintenance of facilities associated with the collection and distribution of water. Responsibilities include assisting with maintenance, monitoring, and operating reservoir and canal mechanical equipment, water conveyance pipelines, pumping/generating facilities and all associated mechanical equipment including valves, piping, pumps, generators, hydraulic power units and cathodic protection systems. This individual will be responsible for taking readings and must be able to interpret and work from mechanical and hydraulic schematics, drawings and diagrams. All work must be done while using the necessary safety/protective devices as required by Northern Water as well as keeping all equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition.

Northern Water is seeking a Senior System Administrator. This person will be responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation and support for Northern Water’s core enterprise systems. This individual will serve as the technical expert in system administration for server operating systems and will provide the highest level of server performance tuning and recovery procedures. Responsibilities include management of physical servers including building and specifying new servers as well as installing operating systems and applying patches and upgrades regularly. Daily tasks include monitoring, verifying integrity and availability of hardware, systems, processes, logs, backups and more. This individual should maintain current knowledge of technological developments in systems administration technology.

Northern Water is seeking a Staff Accountant I to assist with a variety of generalized professional accounting duties in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. The successful candidate will maintain the accounts payable system and process payment vouchers, oversee purchasing card transactions, review purchasing requisitions and expense reports. In addition, record and adjust journal entries, assist with audit schedules, provide end-user training in the ERP system, and other duties as assigned.
