For nearly 90 years, Northern Water has been recognized for a singular purpose: delivering supplemental water to communities, farms and businesses across northeastern Colorado. While we remain rooted in the Colorado-Big Thompson (C-BT) operations and water delivery, the organization has grown and evolved in significant ways. To reflect that growth, we refreshed our mission, vision and values. Our new mission, vision and values are not a departure from who we are; they reflect who we have become while remaining committed to the purpose that has guided us from the beginning.
- Our Mission: We develop, collect, protect and deliver reliable water supplies for Northern Colorado.
- Our Vision: Water sustains our communities, economies and environment for current and future generations.
- Our Values: Excellence, Collaboration and Stewardship
While delivering a reliable raw water supply remains our core responsibility, Northern Water has evolved alongside the communities we serve. Our 200 employees continue adapting to changing needs and emerging challenges by managing complex environmental programs, advancing regional water conservation efforts, engaging with stakeholders across the region and developing infrastructure needed to support future water demands. The new mission, vision and values recognize that our work extends beyond operating water infrastructure. It requires a diverse team working together toward a common goal.
As Northern Water continues to evolve, these guiding principles will help ensure every employee, team and decision remains aligned with our mission and connected to the communities that depend on us.
Developing, collecting, protecting and delivering reliable water supplies will always be at the heart of the work we do, while responsible stewardship, collaboration and innovation will help guide how we do it in the future.
