Three members of the Northern Water Board of Directors have been reappointed to their seats on the board.
Dave Nettles of Weld County, Gene Manuello of Logan County and Steve Buckbee of Boulder County have been reappointed to four-year terms serving on the board. Nettles and Manuello have been members of the board since 2018; Buckbee joined the board in 2025 to fill an unexpired term, with this year’s appointment being his first to a four-year term.
Board members are appointed by judges of the district courts sitting en banc as directed by the Colorado Water Conservancy Act. They join the larger board of 13 members representing each of the counties in the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District boundaries: Boulder, Broomfield, Larimer, Weld, Morgan, Washington, Logan and Sedgwick counties. The board manages policies regarding the Colorado-Big Thompson Project, Southern Water Supply Project, Pleasant Valley Pipeline, Northern Integrated Supply Project and Northern Water Hydropower Enterprise. In addition, Nettles, Manuello and Buckbee are reappointed to the Municipal Subdistrict Board of Directors, managing the Windy Gap Project and Chimney Hollow Reservoir.
