Colorado River Connectivity Channel Wins Two Prestigious ACEC Awards

The Colorado River Connectivity Channel (CRCC) and the AECOM project team earned top honors at the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Colorado Engineering Excellence Awards on Nov. 14 in Denver, receiving both the inaugural People’s Choice Award and an Excellence Award. Northern Water’s Scott Zusi was on hand to celebrate the achievement. These awards recognize the outstanding collaboration and innovative engineering that made restoring the natural flow of the Colorado River possible.

The People’s Choice Award, introduced this year, was determined by popular vote. Thanks to strong community support and outreach, the CRCC project secured the most verified votes, earning the distinction of being the crowd favorite.

ACEC Colorado’s Engineering Excellence Awards (EEA) program annually honors consulting engineering firms for projects that demonstrate exceptional innovation, complexity, achievement and value.
